UTTARBANGA MEDHA RATNA UTSAB 2015

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 5th September, 2015: “Uttarbanga Medha Ratna Utsav 2015″ was celebrated yesterday in Siliguri. Famous writer Mr. Samares Mazumdar, Secretary of Publishers and Booksellers Guild Mr. Tridib Chatterjee was present in the auspicious event which was presided by Mr. Satyam Roychowdhury, Managing Director of Techno India Group. Since last three years, Techno India Group is organizing the event to felicitate the bright talents of North Bengal. This year altogether 50 students from class X and class XII, who ranked 1st or 2nd in different board examination like WBBSE, WBCHSE, CBSE, ICSE, ISC, and Madrasa were felicitated at Techno India Group Public School, Siliguri Campus. From the stage of the event, Mr. Satyam Roychowdhury declared to built a fund of Rs. 10 Lakh which will encourage needy students to continue and excel in their career. In his speech eminent writer Mr. Samares Mazumder reminiscent his school days and the difficulties prevailing at that time in North Bengal. He expressed his overwhelming experience and wished all the good luck for this noble initiative. Dr. Debasish Chakraborty, Professor of Central Michigan University arranged monetary help for 20 needy students out of those 50 bright achievers and it was handed over to their guardians from the same platform. Mr. Satyam Roychowdhuri also visited a primary school located near Siliguri Institute of Technology Campus, for tree plantation.
